Ilir Misa – General Manager & Co-Founder
As one of the founding members of Samer & Misa, Ilir has been a key figure in the company's
growth and success since its inception. With a strong foundation in law and over four decades
of experience in the maritime industry, Ilir combines his legal expertise with technical
proficiency as a certified cargo surveyor by Lloyd’s of London. His leadership has been
instrumental in shaping the company’s direction, ensuring that Samer & Misa meets the
evolving needs of both the local and international maritime sectors. Ilir’s dedication to quality
and innovation continues to drive the company's commitment to excellence in shipping,
maritime insurance, and claims handling.
Eno Xhako – Claims Handler / Surveyor / Agent
With over a decade of experience at Samer & Misa, Eno has firmly established himself as a key
contributor to the company’s growth in the maritime sector. Coming from a nautical
background, Eno began his career under the mentorship of Ilir Misa, honing his expertise in
shipping and maritime services. A certified surveyor by Lloyd’s of London, Eno has continuously
advanced his skills, earning a P&IQ certification after completing the first three modules of the
program. Additionally, he holds specialized qualifications in hatch cover surveying through SDT,
in collaboration with IMCS in Belgium. Eno’s technical knowledge and commitment to
professional development make him an essential part of Samer & Misa’s business development
strategy, helping the company stay ahead in a competitive industry.
Resi Misa – Claims Handler / Surveyor / Agent
Resi Misa has been an integral part of Samer & Misa for over 10 years, bringing with her a
wealth of international experience and innovative ideas. A graduate in Economics and
Innovation from the University of Trieste, Resi previously worked for a renowned cruise line in
Italy, where she gained valuable industry insights. Upon joining Samer & Misa, she introduced
new areas of expertise, including yachting agency and bunkering, further expanding the
company’s services. Resi is also a certified cargo surveyor by Lloyd’s of London and has
extensive experience in Personal Injury claims, making her a key player in the company’s
business development efforts.
Rei Misa – Claims Handler / Surveyor
Rei Misa brings with him a wealth of maritime expertise both in claims and surveying since he
holds an MSc in Maritime Operations Management from Liverpool John Moores University, UK,
and has worked as a Deck Cadet, trainee marine surveyor, and claims handler under Ilir Misa’s
supervision. His industry experience includes a role as Claims Executive for a leading marine
insurer in the UK as well. In 2023, Rei was awarded the prestigious Lüddeke Prize by The
Nautical Institute for his academic excellence and contributions to maritime industry. Rei also
deals with P&I and H&M vessel condition surveys.
